Wanting 16" wheels for an 08 SR5 , What Fits ?

I have an 08 SR5 , after looking, my calipers are NOT the larger ones.
I have 17" wheels now, I want a set of 16" wheels for winter.
There is a large "U-Pull it" locally .
What years 4Runner or Tacoma's 16" wheels will fit ?

Do what you want, but when your calipers seize you'll be stuck with Smaller brakes.

What size tires are you running? That's what you need to consider, in addition to the width/backspacing of the wheel.

You can google search what year Tacoma’s and 4Runners have the 6x139.7 bolt pattern. Any of those will fit on your 4Runner as a direct fit. However, the tire is where you’d have to change it up on size

Why are you looking to go to a smaller tire and rim anyways?

Not a smaller tire, just a smaller wheel. Overall diameter would be much the same. If you've ever driven through Northeast PA, the roads are horrible. More sidewall is a little better on bad roads riddled with potholes ...wont handle quite as well but not a problem .

I already did google searches. It is confusing, which is why I am asking here. If people have already done it and can share their experience.

I'm not sure all the years but my 05 SR5 had factory 16" wheels

Put 2018 Tacoma steel rims, 245/74/16 tire size, on 2005 SR5, fits right on, mounted and balanced except for the tire pressure monitors previous owner kept for their new tires. Paid $475, which I thought was too much being I would get no tire warranty, but after a few days I realize it was a great deal for me being I wanted highway tires and not all terrains.

It gives you a TON of information as to what bolt patterns fit what years, etc. on all Toyota vehicles.

Just trying to get a simple answer. I have a 4th Gen with the smaller calipers. I can get 16" wheels from the U-Pull it but They don't know what fits.

Well, if you just go through the list it labels exactly what years will fit. You need the 6 lug 5.5in. or 139.7mm offset that will fit.

It shows exactly what Tacoma years and models will fit your 4Runner. In this case a ‘96 Tacoma 4WD through a 2014 Tacoma 4WD will be a direct fit from factory to your 4Runner regardless of “16 or “17 in. wheels. ANYTHING with a 6 lug 5.5in. 139.7mm offset wheel will fit your wheel hub. Even if it wasn’t made from Toyota.

Also, ANY 4Runner from ‘95 to 2014 will fit your 4Runner as well. They all have the exact same wheel dimensions.

Also, an FJ from ‘07 to ‘14 will fit.

Simply put, ANYTHING you see on that list that says 6 lug 5.5in. or 139.7mm offset will fit right on your 4Runner. Regardless of actual wheel size.
