Long story but I need to go see a smog check referee next week and although I have never had an issue with the deckplate mod with it screwed back in, I am worried that a smog referee will be more aware that it is modified and would fail me for that. I'm really annoyed with this smog check crap I have been going through and just want it done so I can register my truck since I've been driving with expired tags for a few months now.

So I'm asking if anyone could help me out by letting me swap just their stock air box with mine for the day and then swap it back? I don't have the money right now to buy one, looking for someone that could just help me out and I'll compensate you somehow. I've been told I would need a '96-'98 year.

I have the appointment next Wednesday the 27th so would probably want to swap it out like Tuesday night and then swap it back Wednesday night.

Thank you for your offer. Hopefully I find someone closer. Westlake Village is about 50 miles from me. So there and back twice would be 200 miles or $40-50 in gas. I will let you know.

Zack, I have one from an 02 Tacoma and another from a 99 V6 4Runner. The one from the 99 is hiding from me, but I have the one from the Tacoma if that will work for you.

Ok that would definitely work. Since yours is on your truck still I'm gonna check with James first and see if the Tacoma one he has will work. If it doesn't work I will message you and arrange something. Thank you.
