Wanting to buy a Satoshi grill for 2005 4th gen.

Any takers out there to build a Satoshi grill for my 2005 black 4Runner? I will buy all the parts for you, I just don't have any time to complete this mod because I know it is a little lengthy. If anyone can shout me a price and a turn around time that would be great!

Price typically comes out around $200 plus the grille. Materials alone are around $75-90 depending on options, with no emblem.

It's roughly $100 for labor, as the job requires a lot of tedious cutting, sanding, and epoxying in addition to the bondo and fiberglass work. And I also have plenty of other obligations since satoshiing grilles doesn't pay the bills.

My recommendation to anyone who thinks that's high is to do it yourself and find out what I'm talking about.

Sorry guys, I may have jumped the gun on say "I'll do it" before... I am awaiting the arrival of another member's grille right now then I have my old '03 grille laying around. I am going to do the work to that grille then if someone wants it, I will go down the list starting with runnerJeff to see if anyone wants to buy it. then we'll go from there.

I'm very busy with my internship 25-30 hrs/wk, dayjob 15-20, modding the 4r 25-30, and applying to phd programs. So I don't want to get a line of people thinking I'm going to sell them a grille then realize halfway through the first one that I got myself into something I can't keep myself and members satisfied with in terms of wait time, labor, and price.

That's actually a very fair price, I did one of these on an '08 and those are considerably easier than the earlier years. There is a fair bit if work and time involved to do it right.

Yeah it sounds steep, and I always feel bad when I say that price but you don't understand until you've done it and done it right. There are easier ways and corners you can cut when you do it yourself but when you're getting paid by someone you feel an obligation to be a perfectionist.

I'm not saying they come out perfect but a lot more time goes into someone else's grille than I put into mine. Well maybe not much more but I worked on mine slowly over months, these are more rushed.

The '03-05s are also a huge PITA, reattaching the bottom bar properly and sturdily while retaining all the mounts and hood latch isn't easy.

The grille I am debating on selling is my '03 grille, it would have the black center mesh and white surround unless someone purchased it that wanted it a different color.

I just haven't had time to mess with it yet though. I should be finished with my internship by the end of the month and I may be able to do it then.

No, he is charging way to little. The amount of extra work it takes is pretty ridiculous for that price.

I am also looking for someone to do this for me also for my 2008. I unfortunately do not currently have the time. I believe my friend on here said a guy Audio3x? made his and was happy with it on his 5th gen. If some interested party would like to discuss what we could work out please pm me also. I am not really in a rush for it.

I also saw some Taco guys with these emblems. Has anyone used these on a 4Runner. As my friend put it, "these look very (ford) raptor look a like.

I believe that Jerry at BAMF makes the letters and HomerTaco is doing the grilles.

That looks quite stunning but you're right, you'll never get away from the Raptor comparison.
