Wanting to Install a 3" ToyoTec Lift QUESTION PICS

So I went to the Toyotec website today and I was looking at doing a 3" Lift with front and rear Coils.

My Question is besides shocks and a front diff Drop Brackets is there anything else that I might need.??

Any Problems that might accure with lifting my 4runner?

What year 4Runner do you have? If it's a 4th Gen, you don't need the diff drop kit. I have a 3" OME lift on my 2004 and love it. No other mods required. As I understand it, if your is a 3rd Gen then you may need the diff drop kit.

If you are going for 3" lift then check out the OME lift kit. It's well proven set up that works great.

I have a 99 4runner limted 4x4 with the rear diff lock...

Yeah, double check with a 3rd Gen guy to be sure. I have read that diff drops are needed with 3" lifts on the 3rd Gen 4Runners.

Even so...check out the OME springs and shocks, they are nice for off roading.

Yeah the springs in the pic, are the OME, are they soft, Med, Hard???? Yeah even if its not really needed a Diff Drop wouldn't hurt...

You can check with Slee Offroad in Colorado to help select the specific spring rate for your needs and rig. Ben at Slee has a ton of experience setting up suspension on Toyotas. .:biggrin2:

For the 4th Gen 4Runners, 884 springs are soft, 885 are medium, and 886 are very heavy and only used with heavy bull bar type bumper and winch.

Bilsteins are good shocks but I like going with the OME shocks that were designed to work with the OME springs
