Wanting to replace stock 1998 fog light blubs...

Just replaced my headlights with silverstar ultras and now would like to update my fog lights. I have been looking at hella fog lights but having a hard time finding a bulb part number or model to replace my stock bulbs. anyone have a website or advice?

Doc,
I believe that the standard fog lights on a '98 takes H-3 bulbs.

so this means that any H3 will work?i noticed on the outside of the fog lights it says Hella on it....? what volt do you think it is? i have Sylvania silverstars as my headlights...should i go with hella yellow bulbs as my fog lights?

Yes, H3 bulbs are 12 volts, but there are different wattages.
The standard is 55 watt. Which is what Toyota recommends.
I have the silverstar ultras as my headlites.
and I just ordered the yellow 55 watt
H3s for the stock fogs.
I also have a set of Bosch driving lights mounted on my Pushbar.
I think I have 85 watt H3s in those.
It gets dark in Da Swamps of Jersey.

Replace them with some HID's... I'm about to do that with mine.

I changed out the bulbs to a more yellow bulb so that I can see the road better in bad weather. When I changed mine out, I put in H3 55W Pure Yellow from Polarg. However, I can only see maybe 6 to 10 feet in front of the car. I know the whole point of a fog light is to give off a wider beam but I am thinking of swapping out the whole fog light assembly with the Hella Micro DE Fog Lamp kit made for the SR5. My only concern is that it was made for SR5 but mine is a Limited so I am wondering if it is still plug and play. I have searched on both YotaTech and here but I couldn't find someone with a Limited that did the swap.

The link above is where I wil be purchasing the P/N: HL74560 from. I believe they also sell just the bubls. Another site that sells aftermarket bulbs is www.automotivelightingusa.com
but they are a little pricey. Hope this helps.

Doc,

Those look like some really good choices and I hope they help. I like both of these bulbs: HL88403 & HL78135Y, but I am not sure if the Extreme Yellow Xenon will be compatible with our 4Runners since it's Xenon. Does that mean that it is an HID fog light???
