Warn Receiver Shackle Bracket Questions

I recently picked up a Warn Receiver Shackle Bracket for my 4Runner and had a few questions for anyone that has one or maybe something similar.

1. Do you guys keep it in the hitch receiver 24/7? Or do you sometimes not have it in due to fear of it being stolen?

2. Are there any ways to prevent someone from waling up to my truck and just stealing it? It was almost $60.00 so I'd rather that not occur.

3. What about rust? Will the shackle and/or bracket rust?

You can buy a locking pin. I don't keep mine in because I can't close the garage door. BTW I have no idea what a shackle bracket is.

Buy a locking pin if you want it in 24/7 They will rust a little over time......But not bad and I have seen a couple that have rusted but they were used pretty hard.

Most Auto Parts stores will have them. Maybe a Trailer place that sells and install? U-haul, Or some 4wd shops might have them in stock.....I dont have them in stock but I could get ya one if you want, But for something like that with shipping it's going to be more expensive than a auto parts store.
