Warn winch clutch access?

Owners with a hidden Warn winch behind their 4runner's bumper. What do you do to access the winch's clutch handle to engage and disengage the clutch. Do you cut a hole on top of the cover? Or do you just unspool the cable using the winch switch?

You can simply remove the top cover with no performance disadvantages. Or cut a hole in it. Mine has been sitting in my shop for almost 4 years now. But you do lose the convenient tray to place nuts and bolts on while working under the hood.

Shrockworks bumper has access slots from below to easily reach the clutch handle.

Mine has holes in the top tray that I then lined with black edge trim from Auto Zone.

Mine is a Superwinch but I think you could do the same thing with a Warn: I just clocked it 90deg so I can just reach in from the front.
