Just wanted to throw out an alternative way of looking at this issue. Does anyone feel that perhaps us 'forum folk' don't have any problems or addictions and maybe its a common thing for women to be jealous, possessive and demanding and really its them with the problem?? Why don't they support our interests, allow us time to pursue our hobbies and quit trying to change us into the perfect metro-sexual sensitive new age guy!
I'm married and get the occasional complaint about time spent on the computer, but its almost ceased since I started complaining to her about the excessive time spent getting dressed, doing the bullsh!t beauty routine, time playing with the cat, time spent blabbing on the phone etc etc....
I guess you just have to find the happy medium.

oh man that stinks! i think i have that "mod bug" probably why im single lol! im such a slacker when it cimes to girls. id much rather work on my truck now so when that time comes ill be finished... modding... if there is an end. but ya poor guy, hopefully he can get things worked out.

Funny you should mention that, I once found my wife searching through the history and temp internet files under my user name once! I'm sure she was looking for evidence of porn.

I know this woman that got a program that could tell her everything her husband did on-line, including passwords and private e-mail sites. It turns out he was fooling around and well, the rest is history, she got the gold mine and he got the shaft.

I have also heard from women who get divorced because of men on the computer, mostly porn sites. Now, I am sure there is more to it than just going to porn, but that is what they claim. Sheez.:xnuts:

I actually think its kind of funny. I remember reading threads where he would lie to his wife about the cost of certain mods etc. Why would anyone even create an FJ like that when they can get a car that is far better off road for the $$ than they put into it.

So as the site's rare female posters I can tell you this. This is exactly why the guy I'm dating now, when I first met him I knew we were linked. He drives a Tundra! I figured he'd understand my addiction and passion with Ruffian, and in the 3 weeks that I've know him, our favorite topic is Toyota.
So, see. Some couples may split because of Toyota, but it can also bring people together. And I'll never understand why women don't like porn. They need to get out in a Toyota, off road, and discover the thrills in life! I love my 4Runner, maybe too much! But she makes me happy, and she always puts a smile on my face!

I don't think the mods are that much of a problem.
It's the "keyboard mechanics" out there that spend 3 minutes putting on a dash cover and hyper white lights, then spend the next 2 weeks taking 50 pictures and whoring their stock truck in every thread possible.
Is it necessary to create 5 new topics asking about mods EVERYONE else has, then justifying it by saying "I searched around and already found all this info, I just need everyone to tell me I'm smart and I'm picking the right mods"?
Is it necessary to regurgitate information about parts you have never seen and have no clue what they do? No, but I see it done constantly.

People need to mod their trucks, then load up the family and enjoy it, rather than sharing your new mod with 1000 strangers you'll never meet, but are somehow more important than the people around you.

Weeeeeelllllll.....there is enough room for two in the back once you put the seats down. Now, in Ruffian I haven't tested this....yet! That's why I love being in the country and/or going camping. I just highly reccomend you park the truck & tent far enough from the rest of the campers! I hope he figures out on his own he's a lucky guy, but thank you for saying that Chris. Still early days, only just met a month ago. But I will never say no to a date from a man driving a Toyota Truck! (or SUV-whatever)
