I have a 30 day warranty on the car and it's going into Carmax repair shop on Monday. :wtf:

Sorry, couldn't resist using that new smiley. Your center diff lock isn't on is it? Sounds like there's a big malfuncion or some bad sensors in the VSC system. Hopefully Carmax will fix it under warranty.

Believe it or not a loose gas cap will get all of those lights on. Hopefully it'll be minor and easily fixed.

When the Check Engine Light (CEL) comes on the system shuts down the VSC and traction control. The logic is the system can't be assured of proper throttle response when the CEL is on. Because of that they shut the whole thing down.

Good luck, let us know what was the cause.

Last time I pumped gas was 6 days ago. Won't the light come on a little after that? It just came on this morning.

It can sometimes take a few days to go on and a couple of days to go off if it's the gas cap. My buddy bought a locking gas cap for his '02 Tacoma and he started having the check engine light come on because of it. As soon as he went back to the Toyota gas cap, the problem was solved. You might want to double check that you have an OEM gas cap.

Just checked the gas cap, and what do you know, it wasn't on all the way! screwed it back on and now I will have to wait and see. Why in the world would all those lights go on b/c of the gas cap??!
And I noticed the big a$$ bold letters on the gas cap "Make sure to tighten the cap or else engine check light comes on!" :wtf:

the reason it does that is b/c the evap system (the system that monitors your gas tank and lines etc.) are under constant pressure. a loose gas cap will cause a leak to the system, the pressure drops than the ecu triggers a evap code for a leak. 90% of the time it happens its b/c the customer either didnt tighten their cap completely or they pumped gas while the car was running.

tighten your cap and drive the car...soon as the Ecu goes through 2 full cycles it should shut the light off (which could take a few days)....unless there is another problem. or you could just disconnect the battery for a few minutes and net the same result.

I've also heard five cycles of turning the key from the off to on position will reset the light but i could be wrong?
