Warranty or not?

The dealer offered me an aftermarket warranty when I bought the t4r last week... 1900 for 24k miles or 2 yrs. I have till today to tell them if I want it or not. If I want it after today I have to pay a 75.00 inspection fee... The vehicle is an 06 with 103k on it. 4wd, 45 yr old lady driven. Maintenance paperwork out the ass on it. She changed the oil every 2 months like clockwork from the time she bought it new till the time she traded it in. What do you guys think? Am I running on borrowed time or should I be good to go with out it?

I never get extended warranties, no matter the vehicle. But that's just me. I don't think they're worth it at all. My 2 cents

Agreed. What they offered is a rip off IMO.

Awful price! I paid far less for 7 years, 100k miles. Search the forum for Troy of Greenfield Toyota. He will give you a great price and the warranty is provided by Toyota Financial Services -- it is the real deal.

Search the threads on using the warranty. It works just fine, just like a regular factory warranty. Just don't buy it from the dealer where you buy the car because they pad it with double or triple markup to line their pockets. Troy charges just a little over cost and makes his money on volume.

my bank just offered me a warranty on the 4Runner i just bought - 36k/3yrs for $1295...you're getting ripped off

I would try to negotiate. I paid 2295 for a 4yr/50k mile, zero deductable, extended gold warranty when I bought my car from my local Toyota dealership. I wish I knew what I know now; I would've tried to get it for cheaper. I figured that the price wasn't bad at all though. My t4r is a 2005 and I got it with 96k on it, so, for an extra $50/mo, I took it.
