So I have been lurking in the shadows on this website for a little over 10 years now, prior to my current 4runner I didn't really get to modify my 4runners much. My newest 4runner however has become quite the project, I have been meaning to create a build thread for some time but haven't gotten around to it until now. Heres some pictures to start this off and Ill reserve some posts for future mods and trips.
Mods thus far:
Suspension ~
12" travel King remote reservoir front coilovers with adjuster
14" travel rear bilstein shocks
92 Chevy one ton rear leaf springs
3 link front, custom kit pieced together
Drivetrain~
Dual cases is on the list but not here yet
Dana 60 front from a 2005 ford f250 super duty
Sterling 10.5 rear from 2005 ford f250 super duty
Steering~
89-95 Toyota IFS steering gear box drilled and tapped from yotamasters
Hydro assist from Yotamasters in 8" stroke.
FJ 80 pitman arm and tie rod end
all pro steering shaft for 2005+ tacoma
Firewall plate from all pro offroad
Interior mods~
Dyno mat the entire interior (drastically reduced cabin noise!!)
tempeature insulation on top of the dyno mat anywhere I had the space (also awesome in really cold or hot climates!)
CB radio added
Custom switch panel inside the center console
