"In Thornton, three trucks were hit at the park-n-Ride at 88th Avenue and Interstate 25; two were hit in parking lots at shopping centers; and one in the parking lot of the post office in the 8800 block of Washington Street, said Thornton police spokesman Matt Barnes."

thats happens everywhere and sucks. If that happened to me then I'll go buy a urd y pipe but its so appalling that someone would go so low to ruin something you work so hard to get only to make a quick buck. All i gotta say is that karma is a B-I-T-C-H!:toilet::gun5:

Better than gold actually, they have platinum. And I believe you 4th gen guys have 2 cats, whereas the fed emission 3rd gens from '00 down only have 1. If anyone asks you, tell them all 3rd gens only have 1 :

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Two West Lafayette, Ind. residents face theft charges after two alert Carmel, Ind. store employees observed them acting suspiciously.

Carmel Police say the employees knew that several catalytic converters had been stolen from vehicles in the area. They became suspicious when a silver Ford Taurus drove slowly through their parking lot.

One of the employees went outside and watched as man got out of the Taurus, climbed underneath a Toyota Rav-4, climbed back out and put something in the Taurus’ trunk. The two suspects then drove off.

The employee got into his car, called 9-1-1 and began to follow the Taurus.

Officers caught up with the Taurus and initiated a traffic stop. Police searched the vehicle and found three catalytic converters in the trunk. The suspects were then taken into custody.

Carmel Police identify the suspects at 23-year-old Jeanne A. Swisher and 28-year-old Theron W. Moss. Both were arrested on charges of theft and possession of paraphernalia

The owners shouldn't have to protect there Cat Converters, the denver metro area scrapyards should require ID upon purchasing the Cats, those things go for $150 at a scrapyard last i checked.

Best defense i would say is go to a crap part of town, park it, then sit hidden nearby with a shotgun, then when they go to steal it...pull a citizens arrest and call the cops, the shotgun is just to make them shit themselves.

Perhaps this is more than just a Denver area problem. I know a cop and he tells me that this happens nationwide, not just 4runners, but any vehicle that can be easily crawled under. Apparently there are "teams" of people that will hit a metro area for a month then move on. Very similar to ID theft rings.

Gorilla Glue, or you might want to use some 'Double Bubble' epoxy.
