Watch thread....what kinda collection do you guys have?

Well I can't sleep because we are dog sitting and the stupid thing keeps barking (my gf volunteered us for that one....) so I decided to make a watch thread since I'm borderline obsessed with them. Here's part of my collection, I'll add more later when she's not trying to sleep.

First up, this is my invicta subaqaua nome iv, it's a giant watch but looks killer with a nice t shirt or polo. I got a steal on it too.

Next up is my ESQ, I've had this one for about 3 years and it's been a great watch. It's more classy than the invicta but not nearly as bold.

This is the first "large" watch I bought while I was in college. It's just a cheapo nautica that never gets worn but I don't part with watches real well.

And my g-shock workhorse that I wear when I'm on duty at work or wrenching on something. This thing is indestructible.

And there you have it. I'll add more to this later, I have a seiko kinetic somewhere and a few older fossils too, I also have a really nice citizen Eco drive that I need to get a hold of as well, might be Saturday's project. I hope you guys like what I've got.

Damn, that Invicta is intimidating!!! You can use that as a brick to throw at someone! I always have a soft spot for G-Shock.

But to update on my watches:

Omega Hour Vision...in for servicing at this time...daily wear (the first pic is not mine...but it is such a nice one of an indentical watch to mine...2nd pic is with my piss-poor camera.)

Seiko SKJ076...old reliable...this is my watch for sports activity, including gun range time.

Lastly, my Rolex Yachtmaster (in need of servicing)...not wearing it much...likely will go to my son years from now.

Very nice, I'm trying to get into a higher end collection and will be looking at getting a breitling or rolex in the near future.

The invicta def says "hey, I've arrived" ha ha. The g shocks are great, mine has been through house fires, car extrications etc etc and it still works like new. I looked for a thread like that but couldn't find it. So I started this one. I think I'm going to have to drop by my folks house tonight to look through my old room to see if I can find my citizen Eco drive and my seiko kinetic.

I also love watches with movements.

They are not all that great!! They are like marrying supermodels...they look great, but they are higher maintenance than your next door girl! My Seiko Kinetic is over 10 years old...still runs perfectly. My Rolex went south at around 5 years. My Omega developed a problem at 2 years. So, yeah, not all that great on this side of the fence!

Well, i traded in my Omega HV after 2 years of ownership...and lost only $100!! (Thank goodness for resale value on that particular model!) The Omega was developing "sticky date" issue despite being fixed by Omega. Omega service centers are not very good.

Anyway, I just bought this one to replace it as my daily wear...here is my poor photography skills at work!

I made a good habit of busting all my watches, but I finally started wearing one again ... not nearly as fancy as your guys', but then again - can yours play music, FM radio & show pictures?

I finally got an iPod earlier this year - a 6th gen Nano - and promptly stole the watchband I originally bought for mrs fasterdammit's iPod (because it's HUGE on her arm and she didn't like it anyway). Designed by MNML out of Chicago; very handy.
