Citizen Promaster dive watch circa 1995
Might as well get in on this watch thread.
Like our Toyotas, another fine product and company from Japan. My cousin in Germany gave it to me in 1995. She had one exactly like it except the dial was a little smaller. It doesn't have the big gaudy "wearing a clock on your wrist look" like so many watches do these days. I've taken it to a depth of 171 feet scuba diving in Dominica, West Indies, that's 6-plus atmospheres, and altitudes in excess of 40,000 feet while flying across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans (no big deal). I've accidently dropped it several times over its 19 year life and it still keeps perfect time. My dream watch however, at least for my wallet size, is the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16. If I ever stop spending all my money on travelling, kiteboarding and 4Runner mods maybe I'll buy one. Probably won't take it scuba diving though.

not new, but new band! Ive had this watch for about 4 years now, and have never had an issue with durability (luminox), nor have I had to yet replace the battery. Never been a huge fan of the color (got this as a gift), but it has proved to be bulletproof so far.

Any recommendations for a tough every day watch? Looking for something with a resin band preferably. Indifferent as to Analog or Digital, date is essential though. My Timex Expedition, while it is a great watch, leaks badly so everytime I work in/around water it fogs up afterwards.
I was thinking a Luminox or a G-Shock although I am open to other ideas and brands, but would like to keep final price under 200.

Casio PRG-130Y. Black on black. Solar powered. Tough as balls. Have had mine 3 years. Been through 1 war, many fire fights and missions, and has functioned perfectly.

I like it. Simple, beefy without the steroidal ridiculousness of a super-manly-megawatch, waterproof, inexpensive, and the offset crown.
Available with quartz movement? Only unknown for me is accuracy of the automatic movement. I see it is a new 24 jewel movement. How long have you owned it? How often do you wear it? How accurate is it? Does the accuracy fluctuate? Is the movement adjustable for faster/slower? Have you attempted any adjustment?
