watches...

I told you WTF I was thinking, mind your own business, people keep watches not only because they have monetary value, often for completely different reasons, suggesting selling it for whatever reason is non of your business, disagree?

Why are you talking for him? :wtf: Just hush dude...shhhhhhhh.

Maybe, just maybe you should mind your own business? :wtf:

Huh? WTF are you talking about?!

Dude, get over the butthurt! Damn, you are like a little spoiled brat! The good news is that you actually make sense this time...quit the moonshine?

BTW, wanna teach me more stuff about watches old fart? That's what you called yourself...so, don't go and get offended now! Omega history lesson?

that is great indication of Your character or rather lack of it.
BTW, nobody can teach you anything, you clearly "I know it all".

You know what is great character...MOVING ON with your life instead of pouting like a little brat after getting owned.

Get owned by your ignorant ass? get over yourself clown!
I reported you keep `em insults coming.....

Enough guys. Victor_inox you do realize that if infractions are given you will be getting the points too right? Here are the rules:

The system uses points and the number of infractions. The infractions will be issued by the Infractions ID that all Admins and Moderators have access to.

Points will use the following scale:

Whining 2 points
Personal Attacks 5 points for all parties involved
Posts For the Purpose of Instigating Flame Wars 10 points to poster and all respondents that "egg on" the flame war
Rated X, R, or NC-17 Content 25 points
Solicitations from Businesses without Prior Permission 10 points
Pics unrelated to the T4R or excessive pic posting 2 points
Multiple Registrations 25 points for all IDs
Multiple postings 3 points per duplicate post
Post whoring 5 points
Creepy or gigantic sigs 3 points
Links / Discussion / Promotion of Illegal Activities 25 points
Posting in SPAM Threads 5 points
Spam 25 points

Points and each infraction remain effective for 60 days from the date of the infraction. There is one exception: 25-point infractions are permanent.

A combination of points and multiple infractions will trigger automatic bans of varying lengths.

* 5 points or two infractions triggers a two-day ban.
* 10 points or three infractions is a seven-day ban
* 25 points or four infractions is a permanent ban.

If a user violates multiple rules in a single post, then the highest point value will be applied. The system does not allow stacking of violations within one post.

This system will help the Admins and Moderators to more easily enforce the rules so we all have a good time and keep the site family-friendly. This system does not remove the discretion of the Moderators and Admins to take action without using the Infractions system and ID.

Because I was asking HIM, and not you? You got irritated from a conversation that does NOT include you?

Victor, you finish yet?

It`s public thread, yet you`ve chosen to post in public forum instead of PM.

As far as I can see he did not answered to your post-therefore no conversation.

If I counted correctly THai deserved a ban.
If I deserved infraction or ban I`m fine with it too.

Fair enough...feel free to delete my last few posts to Victor.

You guys can delete them yourself if you want lol. Let's talk about watches though, instead of the people who own the watches...

I would actually like to get rid of three Citizen watches I have. Where do I go to sell them? The only ones I want to keep are my Seiko Orange Monster, my Citizen Deep Diver and my Casio Mudman atomic/solar. Those are the only ones I ever wear and the Citizens are just gathering dust.

I sold all my unwanted watches on watchuseek forum, usually quick sale if you price them right.
or post them here, they might find someone who will buy it from you.

Simmer down guys, ain't no big things but chicken wings! (As my buddy always said)/

I actually wear all of them (about 40+ now), a different one every day - I have an eclectic taste in watches. I like unique designs, not necessarily expensive.

Ahhh...I see. I can never do that. :D I tried that once...and just became mentally frustrated that I cannot have one that does it all!

Dang, can we monitor our points, so we know when to quit being snarky?

Um, im not too sure what's going on here but the thread is labeled watches so.....

I picked up a Seiko SKX173 with a bead blasted finish earlier this year and I love it. Also have a blue Bradystrap that is incredibly comfortable. I'm thinking about picking up a silicone band with a deployant clasp (probably Maratac) but am also considering getting an ISOFrane. Any suggestions?

Bite the bullet and got me a Hermes Apple Watch:

(Just kidding...Chinese knock-off....)

Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch: Hands-on with the $1,500 Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch | The Verge

Official site: TAG Heuer Connected

$1500 for titanium & rubber.

At the end of 2 years, you can TRADE it in for the MECHANICAL equivalent for an ADDITIONAL fee of $1500. (The mechanical equivalent currently costs just over $3000.)

A few tidbits:

1. Display is NOT "retina" at 240 ppi. (Retina in watch is about 290+ ppi.)

2. NOT Swiss-made because most components are not Swiss.

3. NO heart rate sensor.

4. Android Wear only. Limited functionality when paired with iPhones.

5. It is BIG and THICK, but lightweight due to titanium.

6. Made by TAG with processing chip from Intel and software by Google.

7. First smartwatch with 1GB of RAM.

8. No inductive charging...charges via pins on backside.

9. No upgradable internal components as rumored.

They probably couldn't use the name "Retina" anyway if it had the 300ppi screen
It's got a ® from the Fruit!

On a side note, I do like to looks of the TAG.
If I were in the market for a smart watch..

True...but retina-quality still applies. 240ppi is pretty bad given the high asking price. At 240 ppi, you CAN see the pixels!

To be honest, IF you want a smartwatch that is not Apple Watch, then Hauwei Watch is much better than this TAG! At $400, Hauwei Watch matches or exceeds this TAG. SS case, check. Sapphire, check. Android Wear, check.

In contrast, Hauwei Watch is better than this $1500 TAG because: heart rate sensor, smaller in size, high-res "retina" display.

I do love the misdirection by TAG CEO...they claimed that it is "upgradable" so that this $1500 does not go out of date when this concept was first introduced. They hinted at upgradable internal stuff (e.g. processor). Fast forward 1 year, and the "upgrade" is basically you trading in this watch for a mechanical watch version PLUS $1500 cash.

"According to Tag's online store the least expensive Carrera has a list price of $1,500. there are six more variations between $2,250 and $2,400 and the next 12 variants are between $2,600 and $2,900. Unless they said any Carrera watch, I am guessing the many watches that sell for over 3,000 are not part of this promotion. Would anyone be surprised if it was limited to the $2250 models or even the 1500 model?"

A poster on another forum posted this...so, hmmmm, what will you be getting for $1500 when you trade in the Connected watch in 2 years? A low rung $1500? If so, then that puts you at $0 resale value! :noidea:

EDIT: official word from CEO:

"Technology becomes obsolete every two, three, five, seven years, so it cannot be eternal," said chief executive of Tag Heuer Jean-Claude Biver with the Telegraph at today's event. "If you have a connected watch from Tag Heuer, and you feel you don't want to buy the next generation, but you don't want to throw it away, you go back to the store and we're going to transform your connected watch into a mechanical watch that will then become eternal."

"That is why we we say we are connected to eternity."

Note my bold...bait & switch!
