Sell your whole collection except that Longine!! Sell your house if you have to! Get Ploprof! Unique. Rare. You just don't see it in the wild! Extremely practical for serious diver like yourself! Great in-house mechanical movement. Serious purpose built watch. Omega threw the kitchen sink at it when designing it!
I just wish my wrist was big enough for it!

It is iconic for Omega. Nothing else looks like it. It is maybe even more iconic than a Rolex Deepsea or Submariner. And since you do diving, you actually use it for its intended purpose...unlike a pretender like me!

For $1500, the packaging looks cheap IMO.
Plastic back. Uncoated charging pins (bad idea!). Dim display with poor resolution.
TAG should be embarrassed! Even for a near-luxury brand, this is pure crap.

Very interesting and cool idea. A disc that sticks to the bottom of your "dumb" watch. It has LEDs on the side i believe. It tracks fitness, gives notifications (LEDs and vibration), and even has basic gestures. Affordable too.

I actually just picked mine up and it's a fantastic watch. Not as nice quality as some of my other TAG or Omegas but for just 1600 bucks I didnt expect it to be of top quality either.

I am done with expensive watches over $1K, my $2,600 tag heuer chronometer need maintenance and Ben Bridge wants $250+ to clean and overhaul the watch.

That's cheap! My Rolex needed $700 of loving maintenance thru Rolex service center!
My Omega needed $400 thru Omega service center. And let me tell you, Rolex did a far better job in both packaging the watch (when they send it back) and the job of polishing the case (and other adjustments). Rolex has got it down to a science! But it does cost more...so, i guess i got what i pay for.From what i hear, TAG service centers leave a lot to be desired...so, going thru Ben Bridge maybe the better choice (if they do service it on-site or within their network).
they're highly precise mechanical machines...of course they're going to be expensive to clean and overhaul. that said, i don't think it'd be anything that would have to happen more than once every 4 or 5yrs.
if you want ease of maintenance and an auto, Swatch Sistem51 (which, honestly, i think is one of the most fascinating time pieces to come out in quite some time).

System51 is junk...basically, maintenance is throwing it away and getting a new one!
I have no idea why SWATCH made a big deal of it. Cheap watches. Seiko have been doing cheap mechanicals for decades.
it's incredible. 51 parts held together with a single screw, no human interaction when put together, hermetically sealed...there's one other watch that's close to those technologies and it's a Cartier prototype.

I understand...but what's the point? For $150 and don't care about human interaction, you can get a really nice Seiko Kinetic which lasts way longer, more precise, and way more durable. Why buy a mechanical when it has no "soul".
