Water in foglights

Well I had to go through some deep floodwater today and now their is a pretty good amount of water in the housing of the foglights because I have HID's that dont fit to seal it.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do to drain it? I was thinking about drilling a small small hole on the bottom of each housing to let it drain out if it was to happen again.

Good idea or bad?

HID bulbs definately not gona like water. If you already dont have a good seal drilling a hole is not going to hurt any more. I use clear silicone around HID bulbs to avoid any moisture inside of projectors fogs or lows

i agree, a small hole cant hurt, but id try & seal it first.

I got water in mine too right after I did that HID conversion, all I did was pull the bulb and feed a 1/4" water line inside the housing and literally sucked the water out. Then with the heat from the bulb and 100 degree temps the rest just evaporated. I definitely would not drill a drain hole, because if you dont get a weather tight seal when you go to repair the hole you will always have condensation in the housing.
