Reaaalllly good chance its the firewall grommet where the cables run through to the engine compartment from the cab. Mine did this before.
My 2010 4Runner does the same thing only after a heavy rain when parked. I find a puddle on the driver side front. This grommet, can it be replaced? Thank you, Ray
Totally agree. RTV is your best friend next to duct tape. If you can find the source of the leak, RTV usually can fix the problem. If it don't fix it, you got a really big leak. You can replace it but you will most likely have the same issue, I would suggest using some RTV/silicone to seal around the wires and where the grommet meets the metal, clean any dust or dirt that's on it first, use a latex/rubber glove and apply it with your fingers to make sure you get the RTV in and between the wires, etc., make sure it not going to rain until it dries or about 12 to 24 hours, if you still have it leaking a bit in the next rain, reapply more RTV, or the leak maybe elsewhere.
