water leak

Hi guys, I am new to your forum. I own a '04 Limited that is not turning out to be a very good vehicle.
I am having trouble with a water leak inside the interior , the dealer has been searching off and on for weeks has anyone had any and where was it coming from.

Check to make sure all the drain lines are clear and connected, especially the ones from the sunroof if you have one.

Good questions, and also where is it coming in?

Little cold in Canada to do this but you need to pull the hose out get a friend and start the investigation yourself if the dealer hasn't already done this.

Hi guys thanks for the responses!!!
I purchased the vehicle new and I have had no accidents.
The windshield was replaced because the dealer wanted to check the seal so I had the cracked windshield replaced at that time.
The 4-runner has been under their water hoses for hours upon hours looking for the leak, seals changed etc., they feel it is a seam that was missed during assembly, the next step is to remove the dash and look there, and also look for mold.
The leak is on the drivers side, and occurs when driving in rain or sitting outside, it has not been easy to trace because it seems to leak from behind the dash and then gravity puts it on the drivers floor.

Here is an update on my truck, the water leak has been fixed the dealer found a seam that was not sealed. They ended up replacing the HVAC system due to the growth of mold, new carpets leather seat, numerous scratched interior pieces etc.
The truck looks good now because they had to do a power polish due to some scratches caused during repairs, and with the new carpets and seat it has a new smell inside again.
As we approach the rainy month I hope this is a permanent fix.

Hi, currently we live in the GTA but are in the process of moving to Vancouver. I notice you live in Calgary we lived in Airdrie for a very short time, we flew into Calgary back in December we were skiing in Golden, I really do miss the wide open highways of Alberta and the deep blue skies.

Yes were excited about moving to the coast, but Calgary is also awesome, we considered moving there again, because of the bang for the $ no provincial tax and low income tax, we purchased our RV from Guarantee RV in Calgary and had only 1 tax to pay.
