Water leaking on driver side skinny pedal.

Much like the thread title implies, I'm getting the occasional drip on the driver's side gas pedal after a long warm drive with the AC going.

When I say the occasional drip, the drive was about 3 hours in and began to get one drip on the driver side gas pedal foot, probably every 10 minutes. When we finally swung into the hotel for the evening, probably a thimble size amount poured out at one time from wherever it was pulling up onto the driver side foot pedal.

Sunroof vents are clean and clear. Original windshield. AC drain condensation line appears to be flowing well, outside onto the ground where it should be. No roof rack. Clean water, not coolant. No rain in the past 48 hours. Daily driver.

I've got thick skin, feel free to lay it on me if I've missed the obvious, but after an hour or two of searching threads and going over the most common sources of problems, I'm still looking for the probable source.

do you have any water on the passenger side floorboard? there may be other clues as to where it's coming from. take out the floor mats and feel on the floor for any other areas that are wet. it sounds like a clogged drain tube. could also be a leaky windshield but if it leaks without rain and only when the AC is on then it points to an AC line issue

Yeah, as mentioned, no rain for 48 hours and it had been on a 3-hour drive before the first drip began. Also as mentioned, the AC drain line is flowing what appears to be quite well, and there is nothing on passenger floor or under the mats.
Again, it's dripping directly over the driver's right foot on the gas pedal.
Or at least that's where the drip can first be observed without some level of vehicle disassembly.

Is it water or coolant? I think the heater core is relatively above the gas pedal…

I would expect the drain line to leak on your left foot, not right. And as you said they are clean and clear.

Could it possibly be coolant, what color is the water?

I ask because the heater core tubes exit out of the AC/heater assembly/housing directly above the gas pedal and then go through the firewall and could have a small leak.

No, as mentioned in the original post, it is indeed, water. It is clear and clean. Just flushed my coolant with Toyota pink. It would be impossible to mistake.

You may want to check those heater core tubes the next time it's leaking to see if maybe they are wet from possible condensation, it maybe possible that some cold air is escaping around them somehow and causing the moisture, I can't think of any other source of moisture in that area unless the bottom of the AC housing is cracked, it's surely seems to be coming from the AC housing. you're just going to have to stick your face under there with a bright light until you see the drip and where it's coming from.

Same thing happened to me except I was on a 12 hour drive. by the time I got to my destination there was about a teaspoon of water on my husky floor mats. There was also 1 drop of water on the passenger side during the drive. my wife saw it after i mentioned there was water dripping on my foot. I was wearing sandals and the water felt cold so I was thinking it was the AC line but remembered that ran into the kick panel. i will do some sunroof line cleaning and ac line cleaning to see if that helps.

Agree w/ AuSeeker. Condensation "outside" of a normal place.
