Water pump and tb

I went to the dealership today and they told me my water pumpa nd tb hadnt been changed yet. I have 125k miles on my runner so I need to get it done. They quoted me for 458.03. Is there any where that would get it cheaper ? It seems to be a good deal but if I could save money might as well.

That is for the water pump the timing belt and that price is installed by toyota.

That's a pretty good deal if you ask me. I thought I was getting a steal when they charged roughly $700 for when I blew the water pump and had the belt replaced

i was thinking about this.. i charged to do the water pump and belt separately, but if you do them at the same time it should cut down on time since the water pump is driven off the T-belt, so the "$347.90" labor should be excluded, for those who got charged +$700.00 you basically got F****D $350-$400. well that sucks for you!

Seems like a good price to me. Had mine done at 120k's, and it cost me a hundred or so more so about $550 say. I got Toyota parts.

Yeah this is toyota parts. I was getting my oil changed at toyota and decided to get an estimate on the tb and pump and this is what they gave me. Seems good but I didnt know if I was going to get it done cheaper anywhere else.

thats a great deal! i paid about 245 alone for the water pump and and $520 for all the belts and install. do it!!

I hate the crankshaft pulley bolt.

wht? hard to get to or cant get it out?

i tried every last thing to get that crankshaft pulley bolt off and couldnt do it. Need the SST or a custom made one, tried it with 2 2x6's and they snapped in the middle

so you cant crack it loose? try using a metal pipe and not wood

no metal laying around, a few people told me the tb looked fien so i didnt do it i just did the wp
