water pump done

wall i have been experienceing a really annoying squeak in the engine bay for the past year almost, thinking it was just belts and the noise would go away but it never has, so i took my 4runner in for the 90k service (currently at 86k) and found that the water pump had been leaking so i went ahead and got the timing belt changed as well. are water pumps supposed to go this early?

I have a fleet full of 3.4's in Tundra's and have only had one water pump seize. It happened at around 140K miles. Naturally I replaced the timing belt at the same time.

oh okay. well it hadn't seized yet but the bearings were making a really bad sheriking noise in all weather situations, and had been happening since around 50k but this was when it wasn't my car and my dad refused to get it fixed

wp's are usually replaced w the timing belt bc you have to remove everything to change the timing belt anyway so you might as well throw a new wp in while youre there... however most have a lifespan well over 200K

i didnt do mine when i did my tb.

i had a squeal that changed w/ engine revs... i thought it was the pwr steering pump, so i got a new one, turned out it was the ac compressor clutch.

replacing that sometime soon, running w/out a/c in the mean time.
