Water Pump/Timing Belt Change?

Just picked up my 2003 4R V8 last Friday with 75,XXX miles on it. I know the manual calls for the change at 90k miles but I'm wondering due to the age if the vehicle should I go ahead and have it done? I'd rather spend the money on the change rather than a new engine. Is my best bet taking it to a toyota dealer? Thanks for any responses and sorry for all my newbness. I'm still learning the 4.7, still use to the ole 4.O...

Would not worry about doing 90K service until you at least hit 90K.... The service is pretty big bucks if you go through a dealer and each of the maintenance intervals has a significant safety margin..... Not much of a risk....

I bought a 2002 V6 with 55K on the clock and asked the same question. A lot of people responded with suggestions to go ahead and do it because it's well overdue because of the time (regardless of the miles). If you look in the service manual, there is a mileage and a time limit...my thought is it's gotta be there for a reason.
