Water Pump

Just took my 4Runner in for the 90000 service and the dealer informed me that the waterpump is leaking and needs to be replaced, Quoted me $600 to have it done as they are replacing timing belt, etc. I asked if it's the weep hole and the reply was that it's not since fluid was detected on the outside (crusted and dry by now, she was standing for a month). I know a fair amount about my car, but not this. Does that sound right guys? And what will happen if i don't do it right now? I've always had my service done by a dealer. Thanks for answering, much appreciated!

$600 in addition to the timing belt replacement? or $600 total for timing belt and water pump at the same time. It only adds a few minutes to do the water pump so would let them add maybe a total of an hour labor plus cost of the water pump.
