Water pump's weep hole

Didn't have much luck in responses when I posted in the problems & warranty issues... Hopefully in the 4th Gen forum - Toyota dealer change my oil the other day and I was advised that my water pump has a small leak (my car is '08 Sports Ed. V6). I always monitor the fluids in my engine and my coolant(pink) in my overflow tank has always remained the same (never seen a wet spot on my garage floor either). However, I did see a small pinkish stain on the edge of the W/P. Only have 64K miles and mainly drive for normal commute & long distance for weekends. I was planning to flush my radiator at 90K miles since I have Toyota's original pink coolant which I understand is good for 90K's. Service adviser tells me it's a very small leak and from the W/P's gasket (weep hole), and that I should be OK for another 10-20K miles and his current estimate for my W/P replacement is $900 (includes belt, thermostat, and coolant). I just wanted to make sure if this diagnostic sounds correct. Not sure how they evaluated another 10-20K miles is OK... Don't "weep holes" from a W/P suppose to release some fluid out? Any comments out there on W/P?

Not supposed to leak. There are two hole from which it could leak on our pumps. You can buy a radiator pressure tester at auto zone and pump it up to about 17psi per fsm and it should hold leak free. I would replace the pump if leaking don't risk warping heads, cost a lot more than a $130 pump. My cooling system still holds pressure at 265k miles everything original but I dump and refill every 30k with the Toyota premixed. Good luck $900 seems a little excessive.
