Water spot removal

I've got water spots that I can't seem to get out of the windows. Do any of you have any suggestions

I've been trying to get some info on this as well... my wife's car windows are pretty bad from parking in sprinkler mist. I've heard that white vinegar works, but haven't tried it yet.

50/50 Vinegar with distilled water. If you use this to remove water spots on paint surface, you will have to wax the car again.

Vinegar will work, if the water spots are recent and not too badly etched in.

The best thing I've found is "0000" (4 zeros) steel wool. You can buy it at a hardware store (cheap). Use it with any window cleaner you like for some lubrication, and get to work -- it's a lot of work by hand, but it does not leave any scratches in the glass.

I read about this on some detailing forum; google it for more info than you could possibly want...

If you have a friend with a buffer, you can buff them out with some polish

just go to walmart and buy clorox crystal rain. i use it on my car windows and it works perfect, and it even prevents some future spots.

Another hint, wax or rain-x the side windows too. Really, it helps when water doesn't stay on the windows.

wax is an amazing this to use. how does rain-X compare?

Rain-x works great for keepign rain off the windows. It's basically alcohol. DON'T USE WITH OPEN WOUNDS ON YOUR HANDS. Yes, it stings BAD!!
