Wax/Polish recommendations

you shouldn't have to do paint correction for a lond time, which means you won't need polish for a long time. Just make sure to wash your truck properly to avoid swirls and scratches. Clay Bar once a year and wax 3-6 times/year (depending on teh wax and your weather conditions) and you should be good for a long time.
As far as wax, I don't buy over the counter, but you can trust on Meg's products you can find in your local store. #26 is a versatile Yellow Carnauba mix that is durable and easy to apply and wipe off. My personal favorite wax and the one I use is P21S, only available online. You can also try #21, which is a sealant or better yet, seal with couple coats of #21, and top off with #26 to give it that extra protection and that deep wet look.

If you are NOT a detailing junkie, stay away from the #40 this and the #58 that and the #69 whatever.
Each of them have specific applications and abrasive properties that could ruin paint in the hands of an amateur.
Get Meguires NXT 2.0. It is by FAR the easiest to use, and leaves a very nice glossy finish. Goes on easy, let it dry and cure for about 1 hour, and it wipes off in a fine dust.

I used the NXT 2.0 and love it!

I will say, I would like a wax that 'sheets' the water off the 4R. Every time it gets wet I get the water spots, unless I dry it. I remember products that claimed they 'sheeted' the water, but I do not remember them.

First of all, Waxes and Sealants are not Abrasive. They don't do paint correction.
Second of all, #21 and #26 are over the counter products and are simply product numbers just like your NXT 2.0. They are designed for all general purpose use and can be found on the same shelf as your NXT 2.0. Since you mentioned "by FAR the easiest", I am assuming you tried all these products. If you did, just like I have, you would agree that all these Meg's products will get the job done and they all are fairly easy to use. It all comes down to preference and find out what works for you and your car's paint and color.
Last of all, if you want perfection, you'll need to go online and get excellent products like P21S or the above mentioned Souveran. There are other good brands out there as well.

I use NXT 2.0 on my black SR5 and the final results look great. My problem is taking the wax off. It's extremely difficult and go through a lot of terry cloth's to remove the wax (maybe that's my problem?). I finish it off with a polishing cloth (similar to a felt or eyeglass cleaner towel) and that does the trick.

Is it better than S100 which sold at Harley Davidson dealer? I use S100 for years and love it. I am thinking of trying different wax.

S100 and P21S (my fav) are the same wax. S100 is marketed more towards bikes :cheers:

I second this. I've used it 3x on my new 4runner since last December. It makes my dark gray Trail shine like it was new.
It causes water to bead up and roll off just fine. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to last as long as I would expect.
Most of the time I wash my car, I reapply this polish.

I've found the same thing, but it's nice for when you want to quickly wax your ride.
Well, I'm a serious detailer; and if water is 'sheeting' off your vehicle you probably have very little if any protection on the surface. If after washing the vehicle and spray rinse; you can remove the sprayer nozzle from your hose for the final rinse and let the water 'sheet' over the surface. This will help avoid water spots while you are carefully drying the vehicle. Now, if it is rain water that is leaving spots, you should look into Meguiars Quik Detailing Mist. Excellent product for removing light dust/pollen, fingerprints... between washes and water spots left after a rain. It's good on paint and glass as well. Spray it on, gently wipe with a quality microfiber towel; leaves a nice silky smooth finish.

I had that problem at 1st, quickly switched to a different material towel and it came off perfect.
I agree, if it sheets it usually has little to no protection, however there was a 'wax' on the market a number of years ago that boasted that the water would sheet and not spot. I remember watching a video on-line and they showed a side-by-side of the water sheeting off and being spotless on one half, the other half with water spots, then drying leaving marks. I do exactly as you say at the end step with the hose and there still are a lot of spots. I also have the Meq. Detail Mist as well and have used that a few times, seems to work very well. I am sure if they made a product that could sheet the water and still protect it everyone would be using it
Probably why the one I mentioned above is not around anymore.

i recently picked up a bottle of the Klasse sealant as well, but have yet to use it. also got some optimum no-rinse wash and spray wax. when i washed the rig a couple weeks ago (yep, it's a wreck again already) i found that mixing an ounce of the ONR with my regular wash yielded fantastic results.

since this thread was resurrected (via another one's cross-link) i'll follow-up on my post above:
used the ONR spray wax a couple weeks ago and have been really impressed with it. super easy to use and produces a great, lasting (so far) finish that's disproportionately gorgeous in light of how little effort it is to apply.
