Waxing your wheels

Anybody wax their wheels? I am getting ready to detail the Runner and was thinking about it. I have the 18" Limited wheels and want them to look as good as when I bought it. Thinking about ICE or Black Magic Titanium Wheel Polish. I looked on Griots and Mothers but did not see anything in the same price that would do any better IMO. - Thanks

Yes, I wax them with Zaino's like the rest of the truck. Figure that it helps to make them easier to clean.

I use Wheel Wax. The rims do stay cleaner for longer periods and brake dust washes off with less effort.

I just did my FJ wheels with NXT2 the other day. Will be running them in the winter so figure a couple of coats before the snow flies can't hurt.

Easiest thing to do is use whatever you use on the truck.

Even the wheels are a "painted" surface. Even though the "paint" is clear-coat, it deserves a good protection coat to keep debris from getting a tooth-hold on the wheel.

They will look better longer if you treat them just as you do the paint. A good cleaning, clay-bar and a wax will keep them looking great.
