Got back on the project after a pause, fab’ed the tongue, cut out the taillights and rear hitch receiver.
Will get the lid mounted next, and start the trial and error on the adjustable rack.

Well long pause on updates, but made some progress on multiple fronts:
4Runner has rear storage just need to coat it:

Upgraded the suspension to Pro! Couldn’t pass up on the price they are going for now.

Well since the Cooper shoes were getting a bit loud after 30k miles, went with the KO2’s this time around:

Then the trailer; got rack fab’d, calculating weights and what not to get this to lift with the new tent.

Nice pics! I grew up in Williamsville. Nice to see another WNY’er on here. I did the Pro Suspension on my other half’s ‘17 SR5, a really nice improvement I thought. How are the KO2’s as far as noise? I have some on my FJ40. Wondering how they are on the 4Runner as we have the same suspension. Thanks. Tom

The KO2’s are a perfect tire for the 4runner. The coopers were driving my wife nuts how loud they got, when I put the KO2s on she noticed right away how quiet they are. The pro suspension was a great improvement for the money, another thing my wife noticed right away, the dive was reduced, she said it was better in the corners... she appreciates these things!

So my wife and I finally were able to get out and camp in her 4Runner. Work has been crazy for both of us, but it was a great trip, few days exploring VT and NH.

Rolled in to 1st camp late, but lady got right to business!

Green MNT national Forest is beautiful.

Beer and some lunch

She was going crazy hearing all the trail pinstriping, but got through it.

Everything cleaned up nicely, few deep pinstripes, but wasn’t going to hit it hard, will wait for my to be on before I do a serious correction.

Made some ground on the trailer, have most of the fab work done for now, next I have to run wires, blast and paint...get the proper weight struts for the rack (4-40# struts are crazy hard to put down.)
