Rack would be good.

I love the Gobi, but don't like the rust factor I've read about. Also hate the lead time, and hate the fact that they sue every single person trying to make a metal object that mounts to the roof of a truck.

Plus, I think due to their scenario, they are kind of gouging the price a bit, but that may just be me.

Be careful with the rack, Gobi is sue happy.

Rather than going toe to toe with gobi, why not create a forward extension for the stock rack or a straight full length rail replacement; no drill. or maybe a taller roof rail replacement to accommodate roof boxes like yakima

Gobi being sue happy is why I said no rise. Companies have been making no rise racks for a long time and if someone were to do it on aluminum it would be substantially different. But let's not hijack their thread on the new baby. Congrats! Rago

Thank you for the suggestions. We will definitely create a new thread on the rack and will make sure we are not infringing on Gobi's patent when we produce it.
