We did a thing...

It's actually v2 and there is a backing plate. We had one of our customers test v1 but the antenna hit when the hatch was opened so we made adjustments.

I need this! Actually I've needed for a while...just didn't want to add another Comet/K400 style mount to the other side of my hatch (already have one for my 2m/70cm antenna)

YES! and with so many other companies making roof racks, bumpers, sliders and that kind of stuff why not tap a niche that hasn't been filled yet?

From what I understand doing aftermarket fuel tanks is very very tricky. Either you're 100% compliant, or 100% "NOT FOR ROAD USE, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT" because of liability and regulations.

Fuel Cells and Extended Range fuel tanks have to meet a lot of emissions regulations to be fit for sale for road going vehicles. We have one company that sells a larger tank for our Tundras (I think about 30 gal? maybe a smidge more?) and it looks like it was regulated to hell and back as it retains a lot of the factory emissions related plumbing, fittings, and design.

My vote is for an Aux Fuel Tank of some kind.........5th Gen's need some options here real bad.

I would love to see something like this for those that mount their spares to the rear bumper. Mounts up high behind the rear tire and gravity feeds to the fuel tank. Sweet.

Or make your rear bumper compatible with this fuel caddy so we can buy this accessory and add it to your swing out bumper.

I am realllllllllyyyyyy opposed to doing a fuel tank. There are some awesome companies I worked with in the past when I was involved in offroad racing. I will leave to those guys if you want any recommendations.

Haha! I'm sure if my husband drives it like he wants the door would break.

But since it's for design purposes it's patiently sitting waiting to be outfitted then we can show it off.
