Weak Homelink signal?

Anyone experienced a signal that degraded over time? I operate two openers, a garage door and a driveway gate. My signal used to be great but now barely works most times, nearly at the point of having to carry the portable remotes again.

I didn't see any other threads on weak signals so I thought I would ask. Its been slowly degrading for a couple of months now. (2004 Limited V8)

I doubt it degrades. Reprogram it perhaps.

Mine has always seemed to not open the garage when I am at a specific spot in my driveway. Once I move a little it works. I have never heard of a homelink signal degrading over time. They just are not always completely reliable.

I don't think it's a very strong signal to begin with. Sometimes I have to hit the button 2 or 3 times to get the garage door to move and this is with me sitting right in the driveway.

thanks for the input and help. I used to be able to get it to work most anywhere within 25-30 ft or so of the receivers, now I have to be right on top of them, so close in fact I have to back up to keep from getting hit once things start moving. My wifes RX330 will still work 30-40 ft away, as will the remotes that came with the two units. Oh well.....

I will try the reprogram suggestion later today and let you know if that helps too. We also have a ton of interference locally from very high powered military transmitters, both ground and aircraft. Thought at first that maybe was creating interference but since my wifes system works consistently who knows.

Totally agree! It is weak... My wife has a Sienna that acts in the same horrible way. One time she called me from work and said she accidentally pressed it while at work and was worried the garage was up. I'm like ya right.

Mine works 75 feet away. I find it helps if I press and hold the button for a few seconds. But i also have had to hit the button a couple times right in front of the door.

Mine used to work from 50-100yds away, but then my wife got rid of her car and got a Rav4. It seems like the higher vehicle interferes with the signal. I can always tell if my wife is home or not by how soon the garage opens when driving down the street. I have yelled many a cuss word while sitting in my driveway waiting for the door to open. Nothing more frustrated than driving 45min home from work and sitting in the driveway holding down the damn button.
