WeatherTech Digital Liners vs All-Weather Mats

I am curious what everybody's opinion is on the Liners vs Mats. I like how it appears that the Liners offer quite a bit more coverage....my only concern is the lip all the way around becoming annoying.

What does everybody prefer? Does anybody have photos of the Liners after some time being used??

Definitely thinking about the liners.... can you get a good pic of the driver's side? I hope they've got some sort of provision for your foot while you're driving, I always wear through where I leave my heel.

Cargo Liner

With the Weathertech cargo liner, does it cover up the cargo hooks in the back...or is there a hole for them?

Covers em up - just take a razor blade and slice a small cut to allow the D-ring to poke through. I'll be doing this on mine as I have a duffel bag of recover gear and a portable tool kit I have strapped to prevent movement.

The WeatherTech digital fit liners are the best available (IMO) and I run them on both my Toyota's (and I've converted my Dad to buy them for his Toyota's and Subaru).

I'd definitely get the liners over the mats. They offer much better coverage and are worth every penny IMO. I don't have to vacuum my carpets anymore since they cover the carpet well and I use the 4Runner to go to and from work on my farm. My feet are almost always muddy/dusty and they are holding up very well; no stains or anything after being cleaned. A few pics...hope this helps.

Here a pic of my Husky liners. They're just as good as the WTs IMO, but cost a lot less. I wear holes through mats will my heel too COB, but the Huskys are holding up well after about a year. They're dirty, but that's what they're there for!..

After seeing both Weather Tech and Husky Liners at SEMA last year i went with the Husky Liners. They both seemed to have decent fitment in the vehicles on hand, but the Husky Liners were much thicker. The rep from Husky also took time to talk to me even after i told him that i was only looking for my personal vehicle (not looking to even buy/recommend for the company i'm at). The guys at Weather Tech couldn't be bothered by a potential customer to find out why i was in their booth.

I just got done shopping for liners for my wife's '00 and the Husky Liners have come UP in price to match the WT's. Currently, they are both $270 for a full set (front/rear/cargo). If you shop around you might be able to find a better deal on one or the other, but they're much closer in price now than they were a year ago.

That sucks. I only got the 2 front liners, but back then they were ~$60 shipped for the pair.

I have the husky's too, in tan so they match the interior pretty well. I got the front pair for $30 on an amazon supersale, so price couldn't be beat.

I love these things, I was surprised at how stiff they are (at first I thought it felt like cheap, stiff material) since the weathertech appear to be pretty flexible, but I realize now that that is good, cause they stay in place well, and withstands the heel wear. If I could get a supersale on the rears, I would get them in a heartbeat. Not that they aren't worth full price, I am just cheap.

It was your thread that was swaying me toward the liners as opposed to the mats...what I was looking for was some photos of the aged ones. If the outer lip begins to curl up and get cumbersome to enter the vehicle. The lip on the rears is high, but I rarely get in the back so I am less concerned with those...haha

Thanks you guys, I am thinking about pulling the trigger.

FWIW - I really like the WT digital fits. Got the full set, and have been really happy with them. I think they look better than the Husky's, whatever that's worth to ya!

Besides seeing and using them in-person in my buddy's Tundra, BigFishAllDay's thorough comparison really made it clear which one was worth my pennies. :bigok:

In my opinion, there is no comparison between the two. WeatherTechs are worth every red cent, and like 96743runner mentioned, you barely have to vacuum anymore. Take 'em out every now and again for a wash, let 'em dry and pop 'em back in. I especially like the additional coverage over the door sill trim and the lower portion of the inside front door opening, areas that frequently gets visited by dirty shoes/boots...

If I could find a local with some WT's to test fit, I'd pull the trigger on them immediately. The RHD thing worries me, I'd hate to find they interfere with the pedals and wouldn't work for me after spending all that money on them.

I shopped all around for a deal, and there are not many to speak of...as a matter of fact a lot of the usual places were equally expensive if not more than the WT website.

Fronts, rears and cargo liner set me back $297, through Weathertech's website which included shipping.

I checked Amazon and various other shopping sites, the cheapest I saw was about $2 cheaper for the cargo...the majority were actually more expensive than the vendors side. I did not shop for a huge amount of time, so there may be deals to find out there. Ultimately I figured with the elimination of the vacuum almost entirely and the recommendations from folks on here...that it was worth the $$$
