I have a 5th Gen T4R. I also purchased the digital WeatherTech Floor Liners for the front and back. I also got the rear liner for the back of the vehicle.
First: These mats can not absorb moisture of any kind. So if you have snow on your feet, the resulting water and salt will just run off onto the unprotected carpet either in front or in the rear of the vehicle.
Second: The rear cargo liner tore at the seams (6 months old). I went back to Groove Toyota in Denver and they attempted to send the product back to WeatherTech. They (WeatherTech) would not even evaluate the failure because we had no receipt. This is a big Toyota Dealership and they refused them - what do you think they will do to a little consumer like me? Let me see, it was a dealer invoice and that option was not specific to the WeatherTech mat installation. No dice. They refuse to replace, evaluate or credit me for their failure.
Third: The mats get scratched with your shoes and boots, and the dust/dirt gets embedded into the mats. Scrubbing the mats only reveals the deep scratches and blemishes left behind after a good cleaning. So they always look gross, used and dirty.
Forth: Really, they have better marketing material than products. They really are just cheap form fitted pieces of crap, and they do not stand behind their product, unless you have your receipt. Hang on to the receipt as you will return them. Trust me. They are junk.
Please continue to discuss this issue if you experienced the same issues as I. I will then send the CFO the thread so that he can see why sales are not doing so well.
