Personally I think the WeatherTechs and the Huskys look like cheap-ass crap that belong in a Freightliner or some granny's old vehicle. Especially when compared to the OEM mats* I've had in every vehicle I've owned except for the 4Runner.

No offense to Harper or anyone w/ DigiFit mats... but seriously? no grooves? all that water just pools under your feet?

Until something better comes along or OEM rubber mats are sold again - I'll purchase replacement carpet mats every year or so from Toyota.

*Like these FORD OEM mats I had in my Super Duty.

Toyota all weather mats and cargo mat are available again. I just added them to my vehicle when it was at port. They are also listed in Toyota's main accessory database which the dealer can access.
 
I have used weathertechs in my Tacoma for nearly 4 years and they are great. They are not meant to absorb anything. I wouldnt want them to absorb all the water/ice/mud that I bring into the truck. I just lift them up and dump the crap out.
 
The OP if full of nonsense. If he had liners, there is no way water can run off onto the carpeting. The cargo liner tore? They can't tear and they have no seams.

Ignore him. Weather tech makes great products that fit better than any other. If you don't want to pay more for the best, then don't buy them.

Do you have a link to some site that shows them? I so hope you're correct...

Then that's a ton of water and a pretty violent sudden movement. In this case, the water is the least of your problems.
 
I just ordered OEM rubber mats for my '11 SR5!!! I did like the look of the Weathertechs a lot, but they are pricey, and I had OEM in my last t4r and they held up great and did their job.
 
One thing that had me choosing the Husky liners over the Weathertech was the fact that the latter had the holes in them to accommodate the floor mat clips. I figured that those holes might be an outlet for water/melted snow onto the carpet beneath the liners. The fact that I could get Husky liners about $60 cheaper at the time I ordered sealed the deal.
 
I took my WeatherTech mats out yesterday and I've gotta' say I'm thoroughly satisfied with the job they did. Five months of Quebec winter... snow, ice, slush, and worst of all... the salt... not a single stain anywhere. I wish I'd had these in my WRX... it would have saved me from totally ruining a carpet. It had fitted winter mats but they did nothing to keep salt off the carpeted surfaces and they're utterly ruined.

My one proviso is that I did add a layer of absorbent shop wipes to the area surrounding the mat clips. Like others I was concerned that water (and hence salt) would seep through and stain. Twice during the winter I switched out the wipes for clean and dry ones and it worked perfectly. The Toyota mats are back in now and everything looks factory fresh.

Couldn't be happier.
 
I recently got a 4th gen 4runner sport and am looking to add some mats/ liners to it. I line in the north east US so we get snow ect. i also have kids so want a 2nd row to over the hump in the back middle. How are everyone mats/ liners holding up ? I read that some lines will curl on the edges after time or scratch or are slippery. Also that some are hard to remove to clean. Any input would be appreciated. Pics ect .

had weathertech digital liners for the past 6+ years in a few vehicles, no issues at all with snow and kids. Easy to remove. Edges do curl sometimes. looks new like day 1 after a nice wash.
 
Weather Techs in my STI, S3 and 4Runner. Wouldn't have anything else.

I've had mine installed for the entire 5 months ~8200 miles I've had my 4Runner. They've seen snow, mud, and lots of dirt and rocks and I've been very happy with how well they've held up and protected the carpet underneath.
 
i know its a post from years ago, but i'm laughing at the guy who bought plastic floor liners and is mad they don't absorb water

I have Weathertechs in a Camry and found the front ones seem to curl. The driver side even has curled in front of the brake pedal. I have had Huskys in my four 4Runners over the years and found them not only cheaper, but more durable.
