weathertech "floorliner" mats

I received mine yesterday. Fit fine in my '07 SR5, no trimming needed.

Have you tried to lift up the Trash Bag holder and snap it back down? On my limited, the 2nd row floorliner gets in the way.

I have not, but honestly I did not know I had one. I purchased my '07 SR5 just a month ago.

On the backside of the center console (between the driver and passenger seats), there's a U shaped plastic which is a different color that the center console (In my gray interior, the center console is gray and the u shape is a different color gray and clear coated). Grab the bottom of the U and lift it up. This my friend is the trashbag holder.
Here, check out this thread... http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28011&highlight=trash+bag+holder

I didn't need to do any trimming, the trash bag holder snaps right back in w/ no interference.

Thanks to icantsee for that second photo which clearly shows the second row mat against the trash holder. Since the WeatherTech web site only mentions need to trim on the SR5 and Limited models, does this mean the Sport model does not have the trash bag holder? Anyone with a Sport care to resolve that for us????

a final question

One final question for anyone who has the WeatherTech rear cargo mats. I use the cargo net which attaches to the clips on the floor on the sides. Do the rear cargo liners have slots for those clips to come through?

Ref the WEATHERTECH stickers - just got a Groit's Garage catalog and noticed that they sell them sans the sticker --- and charge $10 more! I like their catalog -- but not the prices!

Did you buy the NON-Double Decker version Cargo Liner, if you did, then you're in good shape.

Are you talking about these hooks?

If you want to use the Cargo Net w/ the Cargo Liner in place, you will have to cut out a hole for the hook. If you do cut it, trim it very well, preferable w/ a dremel rotary tool.

However...if you do cut out a hole for the hook, now that square is exposing carpet & I don't want any dirt or water to get on the carpet.

I never used the Cargo Net. I don't even know why I bought it. Thought it was a great idea, cuz I was giddy that I got my truck & wanted to start adding stuff. Thinking of just giving it to a fellow member on the forums. Local only...don't want to deal w/ the shipping & plus I get to meet & talk trucks w/ a fellow member.

I use a fruit box from Costco to organize my other stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. I have found the cargo net very useful for groceries. As for my other stuff, I use a either a legal or letter size storage box from staples. Serves the same purpose but it's a little cleaner looking. Since I don't ever soak the back to that degree I guess it wouldn't hurt to carefully cut the WeatherTech cargo liner to handle the hooks. I do appreciate all the pics and the info. The folks on this site are the greatest.

Trimming

All trim levels have the trashbag holder. I'm not sure why WeatherTech would recommend trimming on the SR5 and Limited. But Husky recommended trimming by the front seat tracks for second row liner because it interferes with the power seats in the Limited, which since 2006 is standard on Sport Edition as well, and optional on SR5. I didn't have to trim at all with the Husky liner, just had to shove it down before sliding the front seats back.

Just picked up a perfect used 2003 V8 Sport with new OEM winter mats installed. They seem to be OK, but really show the dirt / dust. I've had WeatherTech mats in previous Toyota vehicles that were excellent and lasted a very long time -- moved them from older vehicles to newer, no problems whatsoever. Am thinking of getting the new WeatherTech, fronts only [#W39-W20], but am concerned about water seepage / drainage through the mount holes into the carpet [older version of the mat didn't have them]. Comments from anyone who has the newer WeatherTechs with mount holes would be welcome. PS -- I also have the Canadian Tire rear mats in both my vehicles -- they are extremely durable and work just fine. Cheers to the list / Blueleezard

That's a good toast. For clarity, I just fixed my history [left some pieces out in the earlier version]. The affair with the red-hot Swede was really, really good, lemme tell ya. She was always more than wonderful, and in fact still is -- she shares the garage with the new old V8 Sport and still glances at me alluringly every day. So I get a bit misty-eyed every once in a while. I might take her out for a spin from time to time, but I won't stray again -- and now, it's the best of both worlds. Hey, if I'm talking something as mundane as floor mats for the T4R Sport, this must be the real thing.

Isn't having the two "loves" share a garage kind of like sharing your house with both your wife and a mistress? :D And what happens when one, or both of them, give you an ultimatum or just start acting up out of jealousy? In my case my t4r shares a garage with my wife's RAV4 and there are no issues. The RAV4 accepts it can never aspire to be the t4r or take away my attention and the t4r does not see the RAV4 as a threat. On the other hand, you seem to be playing with fire......:lmao:

When I eventually figure out how to repair and complete my vehicle history list for sig posting, you'll see that a mica green 1999 SR5 automatic [affectionately remembered as 'bucket of bolts' because of a very painfully dropped transfer case complete with many torn and noisy gear teeth in the pan] and my first 2003 V8 Sport [new, solid black, strong, silent and perfect] are also there, now both sold and receding into the rear-view memory mirror. So, your kind warning about fire play notwithstanding, I don't think about the spectacular red-hot Swedish fling, now morphed into peaceful yet very warm and highly energetic cohabitation with the happy T4R, with any trepidation at all. If anything, each makes the other even better -- this is a co-evolving relationship of complementarity extraordinaire. There are no signs of jealousy, there is no gritting or grinding of teeth, and impossible demands are nowhere to be seen. Life's latest chapter is good, very good!

OK, got it re: sigline -- successfully edited a few minutes ago and the system automatically retro-changed the sigline in all my previous messages. No problemo -- just needed to know how it worked. Fiddle with the switches and eventually even this primate can figure it out. Yee-haw.

I also noticed that Saturday morning when I was looking through the latest catalog.

Agree re: their prices.
