Weathertech vs Husky rear floor liner

Weathertechs were the first thing I got for my runner and I'd never buy anything else now. Front and back love em.
I read a few reviews and many complained about the WTs being slippery. I went with the Husky for the front liners and I like them. They are pretty grippy and my feet don't slide. Consequently, I am leaning towards the Husky cargo liner as well.
I used to have some liners where my feet slid around and it was extremely annoying.

I've got the digital fits for the front & back seats. I also have the weathertech cargo liner. Love all three, wouldn't trade 'em for anything!

The warm weather over the past couple of days actually flatted out my Husky Cargo Liner. Now it fits very nicely.

Because I was dealing with Weathertech on a fitment issue for literally 2 months. I recieved the rear liner that was "cutout" to fit the 3rd row seating step, not the normal liner as pictured on their website. They told me they would update their pics on their website but never did. Obviously just BSing me for some reason. Another member recieved the rears that had the "wrap-around" edges a month or two after I did so I called them on it. They still insist I have the right part!
This is what they sent me...twice!
It is cut to accomodate this step...
This is what I want (pic from a different member)...no step cut-out, full wrap-around.
The "sawed-off" portion accomodates the built-in step that 3rd row seating Runners have. Big argument with them never resolved. Still pisses me off to this day! I want the wrap-around liner!

They know they messed up and are refusing to send me out another one. oh well... i just bought another one and sold the old one to a buddy.

Reviving the topic of the middle row liner fitment issue discussed above.
Weathertech's website still doesn't differentiate the middle row liner for vehicles with and without 3rd row seating. So is there in fact a version that actually has the "wraparound" for vehicles without the plastic step for 3rd row seating?
I recently ordered the 2nd row liner from an Amazon vendor and the item received is as pictured on Weathertech's webiste (ie, it's cut to accomodate the plastic step). The vendor says there's only one liner made for the 2006.
Can anyone confirm there are two liners? If so, part numbers would be great.

Had Weathertechs in my 2 previous cars (Accord & 4Runner). Planning to buy a new set for this truck. They fit tightly, lay flat, and don't move because they utilize the hooks.
I cheaped out and went Husky with the Prius and have regretted it ever since, I won't make that mistake again.

Coincidentally I have just re-confirmed 2 weeks ago that they do NOT make the wrap around. Seems they have decided to cut costs and stick with just one universal mold. I had a vendor confirm with them directly and they only have the "cut-off" type that is designed for the 3rd row step. The picture they have posted on their website has recently been updated also within the past couple weeks but they used a stock photo from a different vehicle...those will NOT fit the 4th gens.

Yep it sucks. I actually wanted to see if that step can be installed on 4runners with out the 3rd row. It would cover that bare spot and more importantly, provide a nice step for me to step on when i load my ski racks in the winter.
I own weathertech for the last 4 years. I got mixed opinion on them. I really like ther way they shape the car flooring but hate to clean them. I got the gray one and even if I wash them carefully they still keep dirt in. Can't bring them gray like when I got them. Wrote to weathertech for complain and they never answered...... Stay away of gray one and get black one .

I've had weathertechs and husky liners. Weathertech is more aesthetically appealing to me but they seem to sometimes do a bad job when it comes to making sure the mats are secure on the floor. I've had three sets for the front row and two of them would slide up everytime you put your feet on it. Husky wouldn't suit a fancy car but they have sharp points on the bottoms of their mats and I have never seen them slide. I have grey huskys in my 4r now

The Husky Classic Liners may have more of a rugged look to them with the diamond pattern but Husky now does offer the WeatherBeater and X-Act Contour for select vehicles. These new liners do look more like WeatherTech thanks to the new pattern style.
