Weathertech Window Visors

So I installed my window visors (weathertech) about a week ago and when ever I roll my driver side window up I have to actually hold up the switch because if auto kicks in it will sense something blocking the window and will roll half way down again. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

thats something that happens with the in channel, from what i know, you just have to put up with it cause i dont think there is any kind of "fix". run a search for" inchannel vent visors" some others have stated the same problem. goodluck

Yes, had this same problem for a few weeks. Mine eventually stopped doing it.

I was thinking about buying them too, haven't yet. Can you let us know if the problem goes away with time or a fix? if not I might opt not to get them, even though I really like them.

I installed them on my Runner about two weeks ago and had the same exact problem. It will eventually quit doing it. If you run the window all the way up by holding the button yourself a couple times, I think that helps. But it should go away with normal operation after awhile. Hope you enjoy them!

I had the same problem when I tried the in-channels. I ended up taking them out because of this issue plus I felt like they gave me a huge blind spot. I'm not a fan myself...

keep your windows up all the way as much as possible for a few weeks, like others said, it will stop doing that, and start going up corectly, the stuff in the window channel has to wear a little, if that makes sense, lol

I definitely will let you know! I LOVE them on so far! This is the only issue.

Thanks guys! I'll definitely try to keep my window up as long as possible to get it set - it's just hard during the summer cause i love having the window down. Hope it goes away!

Problem gone!! Just got used to the visor and now no issues with the automatic window! Thanks guys!

Do yall have any pictures of the inchannels versus the tape vent visors? I was thinking about getting them. What are the major differences between the two? Where do yall recommend buying from?

Like I said before, I have the in-channel and love them - now. I was really disappointed in them at first because my automatic window wouldn't go up all the way. But once they sit and the automatic gets used to them they're great. The reason I went with in-channel and not tape is because if you want to take them off, you're most likely going to be left with tape residue and will have to get goo-gone or something to get it off which could end up ruining your paint.

Highly suggest in-channel.

It makes car camping a lot easier knowing you can crack the windows and not have a puddle in the car when you wake up.

I thought weathertech window visors were made in the USA, but when I saw the Made in Germany sticker, I knew they would be made with good quality materials. One more pic from the inside...

Now i have to get some, gona work great on my 07, feels good to have one touch on all the windows installing the dei 530t , from driver and each other switches, so i guess it works like the 5 th gen. So now i need 100 bucks for these right? Looks like wen i crack the window from my alarm itll be perfect gap.

I bought mine from Autoanything. Weathertech was sold out of them from their store when I was looking to buy but they said they would be back in stock in a couple weeks so im sure they're available now.

Install is EASY. Just pop them in and you're set. The back ones have a tape but the fronts do not and I haven't had any problems with them moving at all. 30 min install max.

Riceporn - X rating for your Avatar. I got the dark ones for the rear and the normal ones for the front. They match the OEM window tint perfectly. I also have the hood rock/bug deflector. All the WeatherTech logos easily come off. Unaffected by extream cold and heat too. I had old VentVisor ones shatter in cold and come unglued in hot weather - plus they leave a mark on trim.

I have only had it happen a few times but other then that it works just fine...and like other said keep your windows up for a while before cracking them open...it will make it work better...
