I'm messing around with replacing the plastic window control holders with Birch to match my Birch Shifters. I used my Dremel and shaved a 3/4" piece of Birch down to 3/8". Need to get it mounted well and place a nice finish on it.

looks slick!
heres a idea, you should use your dremel and create a slope on the front side of the switch so it will be easier to use...

greasefingers: Minwax Fast Drying Polyurethane. Minwax has a new product called "Wipe-on Poly", you simply use a lint free cloth and wipe it on. It says it leaves no brush marks and no drips, so I might give it a try to see how well it works (will test on spare wood first).

the_josh: I thought about this, but when I tested an area with the Dremel, it didn't turn out well, so I just droped the idea.

Thanks!
