Is it a stock truck? I have scales and can tell you what MINE weighs, but I would think knowing the weight would not be very helpful. What is your method to figure tongue weight?

And you should work for about 10-15% so around 500#. But knowing your whole setup would help.
What size trailer, towing rig ect.

It’s got a SC and a 2” lift is all. I know if I had easy access to scales I could just weigh the front end alone and do the math. I’m putting it on a U-Haul car trailer so there’s only one way to load it. I was just hoping somebody had read an old Motortrend article or something that referenced the ratio so I could have a ballpark idea.

how do you plan on guessing what it is? Move the truck until the trailer tips?
Also what is your tow rig, what is it rated at towing and dead tongue weight?
it really is not as easy as saying my nose weighs X number of lbs, so that's what my weight will be.

Tongue weight has nothing to do with the load weight. You can adjust your tongue weight by how you load the trailer. You do not want it equal...more tongue weight is better than low or no weight. More people have issues by backing up the trailer load instead of putting it forward.

Or....an easier way is mash the ass and your good to go! Start driving and if she wags a little put more on the tongue. At least thats what we hill billy farmers do!
