So about a week ago i noticed that my right side blinker would come on when I pressed the brake.. I didnt think anything of it really just thought there was a loose wire some where or something and when i had a chance I would investigate it more. Then today me and my wife were at dairy queen and both blinkers would come on while I had the brake pressed. They didnt blink just the lights would come on. And then we started smelling the start of an electrical fire. I am thinking greatttt.. just what I need. Anyways after about 10 minutes I parked and started looking around. Didnt really find anything and tried to go home and I couldnt move move my gear shifter becuase the truck wasnt reading my brakes being pressed. So i turn on my blinker and in turn that allowed me to put my truck into drive. LOL that one was funny and lucky. So on my way home the smell gets worse and worse and I look back and a cloud of smoke is hanging out in the cargo area of my truck. So i pull in to the house and find the problem. It turns out the tow package that I have in my truck shorted out and started melting and was causing all the smoke and the short. Its the 15 amp tail light converter for the trailor hook up. So i cut it out and everything is back to normal. Weird situtation I thought I would share with yall..
