Weird Noise From a Stop

Got a quick question to determine if any has experienced or knows what is causing this...

Turning the car on and putting it into drive, I drive forward a few feet and there is a short rubbing/grinding noise coming from somewhere in the front wheel area. The noise is always the same and only does it once when the car is started and pulling forward. The noise only last for about 1 second.

I thought it might be the break pads but I'd assume I'd hear a continuous noise and not just a short, one-second noise. It thinking the car has to be going through some kind of system check of the ABS or something once the car is started and put into drive.

I'm taking her into the shop later this week but figured I'd see if anyone might know what this is.

Thanks!

Are you feeling a buzz through the brake pedal? If so, that's the electronic brake booster pump. Not an issue.
