Weird noise from front end?

06 v6 with 103k on it... Seems like when i press the brake pedal fast (like coming out of reverse to drive) or vice versa I hear this ting sound... Almost like a thin piece of metal is being hit... Like a dust shield or something... Ive heard about the normal transmission noise when going between gears, Is this another "normal noise to get used to?

Great question. I have the same thing happen to my '07, though not all the time when backing up.

Brake pads shifting in the torque plate.
Not uncommon.
