Weird noise from underneath dashboard

So I went to second skin and bought a whole bunch of different products to make my truck quieter on the inside. Lately my '97 4runner developed a very annoying high pitched sound, it seems to be coming from underneath the passenger's side dashboard, right underneath where the glovebox is, it sounds like "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" at idle and then when I accelerate I can hear it go "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". Anyone know what this is? I need to get this fixed, it is very annoying and noticeable. Even with the heater/AC OFF the noise is still there.

check your headers, pipes or flanges. Sounds like an exhaust leak

Jeff, I think that it might be an exhaust leak as well. A couple of weeks ago I was driving on the highway and I heard a loud bang coming from underneath the truck (it was very violent), I'm guessing that's when the pipe blew a hole. I'm going to take it to a mechanic this week.
