Weird Smell coming from within my 4runner

I got in my 4runner and It smelled like something died in it. I Can't find anything inside it. I looked for any type of small animals underneath my car no Luck.
Any one have a suggestion. I thought may be my AC box needs cleaning?

Sorry, had to say it. Seriously though, if it just started smelling bad, and you've had it for a while and you've never smelled this before, I'd say check everywhere. Make sure no wild thing crawled up into something. Or if maybe you ran over a dead thing, and um, now some of it is attached to your undercarriage....ewwww.

It's worth checking the cabin air filter, located behind the glovebox. The Owners Manual tells you how to get at it, in the "Air Conditioning" section of Chapter 1.

Smelly 4runner

No I did not loan it to Kramer. Thats funny!

I changed the Cabin Filter about a month ago.

Cant figure where it is coming from.

Are your mats (or carpeting wet)? I find that my car smells bad (I'm in Michigan) if I don't let the mats dry out.
