Interesting, considering that thanks to the abundant use of advanced robotics, probably fewer humans touch a Toyota during assembly than any other major auto company.

actually Ford and GM have fewer humans assembling their vehicles.
The TPS (toyota Production System) thrives on quality gates and robots can't judge quality.
TPS requires a high level of skill also which robots can't LEARN.

Interesting. Maybe there are extra quality control people on the assembly floor but as for more total people in the process, I wonder.

Compared to Toyota, GM, for instance, carries more than 20,000 extra employees per $100B in revenue. They're putting those people somewhere.
