Wow, great forum here! I'm surprised I didn't find this place sooner.
Just thought I'd introduce myself here. I'm Steve from NorCal and I have a black '95 4R Limited that I bought new at the end of '95 after my first car, a '85 Supra got totalled. I've got 130k on it now and its still going strong.
I've done way too many mods over the years to list right now. Most are appearance and stereo related. Only performance mods are a Borla catback and K&N cone and a 1" lift.
These are pics from a couple of years ago, but it hasn't changed much since then. I'll take some newer ones later.

Wow, I feel so welcomed around here. 211 people checked out this post and not one says 'hi' or 'welcome' or 'nice 4r'. I've never posted an intro post on an auto board and not have a single response.
Maybe I should have posted this in General instead of Gallery. But with all the pics, I didn't want anyone getting mad.
Ummmm, Can You Hear Me Now??? :awais:

WELCOME!!!...Nice 4r, cleanest '95 ive ever seen. Sad to say my '05 isnt that clean. I like your wheels and tires.

Thanks! I try to keep it clean . . . isn't always easy. Its helped me move three times with a U-Haul trailer on the back, been off roading a couple of times here and there and still is clean.

I can tell there are many knowledgable people on here. I wish I would have found this place sooner. Now I've got almost 11 years worrth of catching up to do.

Thanks for the (belated) welcome everyone!!! :)

It's nice to see the older trucks that have been cared for still look awesome years later.

My vehicles have always been like members of the family.... in fact they've been more dependable than two ex's! (They don't run around without me either!)

It's quite evident your truck is a family member too.

Welcome, very clean truck especially for the age. I guess the gallery is rarely view unless the new runner of the month is selected, and maybe your "welcome....to me" didn't sit well with some I know I past it up the first time around, ready for more Mods? :D

Man that is a thing of beauty !! Damn nice looking truck. Personally I wish I had a tailgate instead of a lift gate....love tailgate's.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!! I try to keep it clean like that, but doesn't always work.
I agree with you on the tailgate Falls. I got this in October of '95 and there was talk of the new '96 model and I really was debating whether to get this one or wait for the '96. I was hearing stories about the new model, but no one could comment on specific changes - and I didn't have a computer then, so checking out info online wasn't even on my mind. Anyway, I decided to get this one, and I checked out the '96s when they hit dealers and I was so glad I decided on this one, and one of the reasons was the tailgate. That just makes it feel like more of a truck.
And yea Atomic, I guess you're right, it is like a member of the family. I figure I treat it well and it'll treat me well.
Besides, I paid close to $30k for it, I want to keep it in the best shape possible.

Welcome aboard!

Your truck looks like a brand new!

How much it cost for the TRD off road stucker you got on your truck?

Thanks ice!
Those are the old style TRD stickers. I got a deal on those and I don't think those are being used anymore . . . not sure though. Sure you could find something similar online, eBay maybe.

I think the stickers look really good on there, make's it look pretty sporty without being over kill. I would mind some myself but don't think it would look as good on my 06.

Once again perfect look of form & function without being overdone !!!!

And you get at least 20 more horsepower with those stickers :D

Falls, maybe you might want to try the stickers from the 2005+ Tacoma's, the style is a little different, overall height might be taller than CaliforniaPlaya's stickers from the previous gen Tacomas.

CaliforniaPlaya, didn't mean to steal your thunder. Welcome to T4R.org and having a clean and sharp looking truck. The '95 was one of my favorite second gens since it came out with the Limited package and started off the Limited trim for the third gen. I always liked the 4Runner since the first gen because it had a removable top. But it was the second gen that I really got to observe Toyota's quality. We had a '90 almost fully loaded pickup, similar to the second gen 4R. A decade later and I'm finally a 4R owner.

Glad to see another Bay Area member. I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend, but there's a meet next Saturday, 6/17, in Fremont at Le Mans Karting from a few different Toyota/Lexus forums.

Don't think I'll make that meet next weekend, even though its close by. I kind of all ready have a date with work - gotta keep making those pretty Corollas and Tacomas for people to buy. :whipping2
