I didn't see a thread for random welding/fabricating projects, so I figured I'd start one.
It might be a good place to share and brainstorm ideas, ask questions or just show off.

Bumpers, BBQ pits, random art, dune buggies and rock crawlers, show us what you've been building.

I'll start us off, with a project I've been messing with in my free time for a while now. Building my own smoker pit. Didn't have any plans, just an idea and a little free material.
I'm pretty proud of the way it turned out, I just hope it cooks as good as it looks.

If you're interested, you can follow the build from the start. I shared it over on a motorcycle board I'm a member off. They love food over there, BBQ and pie.

I got a couple projects I've done. Here's a lockbox/storage console I built for my 4runner. I built it out of some scrap 14 gauge sheet metal, and covered it in tan canvass fabric (like Carhartts work pants).

And here's a few pics of my slow, slow expedition trailer build, hopefully I'plan finish it before this summer, it's been a almost 4 year project, lol.

I'm still a beginner with the welding gun, but I'm getting good enough for basic projects. Yesterday I glued a new spare tire carrier to the trailer, to make room on the tongue.
