Woah just kidding! But really I missed the grocery net from my Grand Prix that I just traded in for this 4Runner. Luckily I stole it out of the car before the dealer got it

So tonight I went to my local Ace Hardware and picked up some mounts, 30 seconds later presto!

I've also posted a couple pictures of the new truck, just got new floor mats from an 06 put in today and last weekend I murdered the grill and rear license frame. Let me know what you guys think!

Im not sure I get the usefulness of this mod. So it stops things from rolling around an inch or 2 before the door? Hows that anything to talk about?

It keeps whatever I want to store tucked between the net and the rear door. If you think it's dumb that's fine, but go set a gallon of milk instead your rear door, drive down the street and hit the brakes.

did you reinforce those? just wondering. i know in my cherokee i didnt dare do it cuz i was afraid if i had anything snag the net too hard i'd end up breaking off large chunks of plastic. and my 5th gen (and if i remember right my 4th gen) all had the upper cargo net holder whizbangs anyhow.

No they are not reinforced at this point. I pulled out the holders for the cargo cover to check the thickness of the sidewall first then I used 1" long self taping screws to secure them. They are very firmly secured, however the net itself will not see any real weight or stress level. Another main reason I used this particular mounting solution was so the mount would have 2 points of attachment rather than a simple eye bolt that could pull out or break the plastic easier.

No worries, lol. I just looked at the OP and saw items between the seatbacks and net and thought "so what?". It wasnt til somebody pointed out the point was to keep things between the net and back door that I got it, lol. But its smart, I may do it as well!
