why would you want to put sissy rims on a 4x4 vehicle. I don't understand why people do that to their 4runners. I'm sorry but for me its a terrible waist.

Let the man do as he pleases. Everyone's got different tastes. If not, there wouldn't be any malls around and we'd all be walking around wearing togas and birkenstocks.

Snookster posted up asking for opinions and, like most of his other posts, is interested in what others think about his ideas. If tomzapf doesnt like them then why shouldnt he say so? Negative feedback isnt always a bad thing.
Snookster, I think the rims that your 4Runners previous owner had where pretty smart and the Enkei 20's you like are good too, but those ones on the white taco are TERRIBLE, they dont suit the 4Runner or Tacoma at all, there's plenty of other choices if you are going for the 'bling' look. I'd be happy to photoshop some stuff onto your rig if you want.

Where does it say he was asking for anyone's opinion on this post? . Snookster asked for opinions on a different post and I gave my opinion. I don't disagree with you that negative feedback isn't always a bad thing, but the way the feedback is given makes all the difference.

Snookster was thinkin about buying those rims because they obviously appealed to him in some way. I was merely stating that if he likes them, let him do as he pleases.

tomzapf asked a quetion. He wanted to know why snookster would want to put those rims on his vehicle, and he didn't understand why people do such things to their 4runners. My response was simply an attempt to answer his question using an illustration.

Peace, man.

When you post up on a discussion board about something you are doing, you are opening yourself up for other peoples thoughts and opinions, whether you ask a direct question or not. Snook clearly wants people to comment here.
But you are right about how negative feedback is given though. This board is pretty tame and friendly I find, compared to some others out there, but as I'm sure you are well aware, text on a screen can sometimes convey the wrong tone or emotion.
Peace to you to. :)

i know what you mean about text on a screen sometimes conveying the wrong tone .... I can see how my first post about the togas and birkenstocks could have sounded a little sarcastic. My apologies tomzapf if you took it the wrong way.

WOW i'm kinda scared to make another post now :D
my wife doesnt like the rims, and as she is the financial advisor, i might be waiting around a little bit. thank you for ALL of the feedback.

I'd just say make sure we know what the owners intentions of his truck are (and 2wd should be noted) and then rip on his choice of wheels. ;)

Not my style but not bad for a pavement pounder.

No offense taken at all. Personally I do like the look of big rims on a denali or escalade but not 4runners. If yours is a 4x2 then that would explain why you're not going with the off road wheels. As long as you like it man, whatever floats your boat.

Those rims look clean as hell, they would look good on your 4Runner, but personally I liked the other set of 20"s the previous owner had on there. I think you should get those.

It's his vehicle he can do with it whatever he wants to. Just because it's 4Runner doesn't mean 20"s or bigger are forbidden from being put on there.
